DELICIOUS

Description

This Turkey Chili was a little improvised but it came out delicious. Since I used improvisation here, I didn’t really measure the seasonings, everything was to taste.

Ingredients

1 lb of lean Ground turkey
1 cup of chicken broth

2 tomatoes
½ green pepper
½ small onion
1 handful of cilantro

Seasonings: paprika, cumin, garlic powder, Flavorgod or Mrs. Dash, red pepper (spicy-optional), bay leaf, a pinch of salt, liquid amino (soy sauce substitute)

½ cup of water

1 can of black or red beans low sodium. I prefer using natural beans and cook them from scratch, but all I had at the moment was 1 can of black beans

Directions

1
Chop the veggies into little pieces (the tomatoes were bigger since I like my chili a little bit chunky).
2
Open the can of beans and drain them, rinse some water to take some sodium out.
3
Put the turkey, veggies, beans, chicken broth, and water in the slow cooker.
4
Add the seasoning to taste and let it cook for 3 hours, don't forget to mix it once in a while.
