Description

Here’s another idea for the plantain lovers. I can’t help it, I just love plantains way too much!

Ingredients

½ green plantain going to ripen

4 oz of ground turkey
Onions and green pepper (as much as you want)

Seasonings (Mrs. Dash or @flavorgod, cumin, and paprika)

1 teaspoon of Liquid Amino (soy sauce substitute, you can find it at any grocery store in the US)

1 handful of lettuce

1 Roma tomato

Directions

GROUND TURKEY: Chop the onion and green pepper and stir-fry on a sprayed hot pan until the onion gets caramelized.

Add the ground turkey, seasonings and liquid amino.

SETTING UP THE TOSTADA: Cut the plantain in four thick pieces.

On a sprayed hot pan sear the plantain pieces on both sides and around it until it gets brownish as shown on the picture.

Put the 4 pieces together and smash them until creating a flat shape

Put it in the oven at 400F until it gets crispy

Take it out of the oven

Put the turkey on top

Then the lettuce

Add some chopped tomato

Finally, add some mustard and black pepper on top
